OK, so I'm a naysayer to Google Toolbar--or any toolbar for that matter. Most don't live up to promotion; many are simply junk and, worse yet, operatives for spyware (a category that Google Toolbar certainly does not fit).

I have, though, had to deal with browser issues caused by their toolbar. Open browser, 15 minutes later the homepage finally posts. After a number of troubleshooting steps, online searches, and other attempts, it wasn't until after Google Toolbar was removed that the browser would properly load.

As a support technician, I've found this problem on three different computers--all with the same solution.

Pet peeve: Adobe, cCleaner, Java, and any number of other applications that want to install a toolbar by default. Argh. Oh well, uncheck another box...click Next.
