For those of you that love the Google Toolbar, but have been missing it with Firefox 3, your wait is over!

I figured we’d see it updated this week, since the public release of Firefox 3 is scheduled for tomorrow.  I also expect we’ll see an update to the Google Earth plug-in very soon, since it still doesn’t work on Firefox 3 yet.  For that matter, there are a lot of plug-ins that still don’t work on FF3.  How many will get updates this week?

Firefox 3 RC2 now available

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

About three weeks after RC1 was unveiled, Firefox 3 RC2 has just been released.  Get it here!

No word yet on what’s new, but I expect it’s mostly bug fixes and things of that nature.  If you know of any substantial improvements, please let us know in the comments.  Given how great RC1 has performed, I’m quite excited to fire up RC2.

Firefox 3 RC1 now available

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

We’re getting pretty close to the official Firefox 3 release, with the new release of Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1.  The beta versions had surprisingly few problems, so I would expect that this RC would be pretty solid.

You’ll probably want to install this program, if for no other reason than to make sure your sites render properly in it.  You can download it here.

Internet Explorer 8 logoIn a surprise move at the MIX08 Conference, Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer 8 is now available for download.

The list of enhancements include:

  • eBay Integration — You can use their new “webslices” to subscribe to individual portions of a page.
  • Live Maps Integration — Highlight text on a page, like an address, then right-click and choose “Live Maps” to see a preview map in a small pop-up window.
  • Better support for AJAX pages

I haven’t downloaded yet, but I’m just about to. Once you get it, leave a comment and let us know what you think!
